  • You could wrap it, I guess? Vinyl that is designed for this application.

  • Helicopter tape.

  • I might be selling the defender... after driving it a few times Dad has decide he wants one but mum vetoed anything Diesel so he's looking at buying a v8 defender to replace their 1 series.

No need for me to own a defender if I have access to one :) looking to get back
Into the mini game I reckon as I fancy something small, loud and slow.

  • How much would you be looking for? I might be coming into the market for a defender depending on what we decide to do with my wife's car.

My car is in today getting louder. Not a whole exhaust system, just central resonator removal and x-pipe being fitted but excited to hear it this evening nonetheless.

  • I've actually never had any issues in London - this was one night in Whitstable!

  • I dunno where that is.

  • This one's been for sale before for a lot less with regular photos. Or at least that line at the end has been used before for another one same colour.
145 in babysick yellow for me + better suspension + Lsd + 2.5 diesel + huge wooden rack

  • Just found a couple of old car books. Probably a bit new for most of the folk in this thread, but thought I'd ask if anyone could think of a use for them?

Understandably no Volvos in "The Fastest Cars from Around the World", but there are some Audis

  • Get your pitchforks ready.

People who smash and dash deserve many things done to them

  • Have you tried looking for an entire replacement part at a scrap place? If you get lucky and they have the right colour in a decent condition it can be cheaper than repairing.

  • Spotted just round the corner from my flat in Surbs yesterday. Also saw lots of American classics on the A3 yesterday

  • Surbs? aka Surbiton.

On. The. Map. (My old endz)

  • The very same, home of the original John cooper garages

(It says so on the wall in pizza express)

  • Stumbled across this (assumed) render of a 928 Rehash.

Fuck me it makes the Panamera look like a fridge on wheels.

I do hope it is going to be released and if not sort it out Porsche.

  • Hmmm... Not keen on that. Asides from being a bit long it sort of looks like 3 cars stuck together.

  • A bit of tweaking, that would be hot. The Panamera needs to go the way of the eponymous airline. It's bloody diabolical to look at. They totally should recycle the 928. I saw a dark blue 928 GTS recently and they still look great.

I am full of Car woe. I think the engine is going to have to come out of the Fury - I've just found too many things wrong with it. The engine builder is being a complete bell end - there absolutely must have been problems with it even before they sent it to me. I found variation of 3 full turns on the rocker adjusters on the intake side of the same rocker shaft. Similar for the exhausts. The hardened tips are totally hammered and have bollixed up the valve tip rollers. They're about 1000 fucking dollars for a new set too.

Totally amateur hour machine work on the pistons too. They've had domes removed to bring down the compression but look like they've been finished on a rough belt sander. The sharp edges around the valve pockets have not been relieved at all either.

Total shit - I'm getting ready to internet shame them.

  • Ah man, that sucks.

  • That's the biggest risk with cars - with bikes I can do everything myself, have ended up doing everything myself after being let down by almost every bike shop I've used at one time or another.

I don't have the time or confidence to work on the cars though, so have to trust others.

    Good luck with the rebuild.

  • Front proportions are a bit Ferrari.

  • that is lovely

  • Been doing some bits to tidy up the BM lately.

Test fitted the new bumper that is being painted soon, along with a new wing that I bought for £30. So no more dents, then will just need to sort the scratching on the door (hoping that will buff out)

Put in a EGR bypass valve and did an oil change, made a big difference that.

Annd wanted to sort the interior out a bit, tired of using a tape deck adapter to play music and want to run a dash cam. So got an andriod head unit which I installed yesterday, really pleased with it so far, clips straight in with minimal effort.

(apart from the fact that my old radio was stuck in and I had to remove the entire dash)

Has all the modern features you could possibly want.

Next thing is to sort the 2 front speakers that are completely blown (didn't notice this until I installed the new unit and could shift the balance about)

  • Volvo has another years MOT, £2,468 to pay when I pick it up tomorrow. If anyone wants a lift from Leicester to Bespoked let me know.

  • Massive boner
