  • Just stick it in the washing machine, that's all I ever did.

  • hubba hubba 2 NX

2 person tent but two entrances, two porches, and actual space for two inside. light and easy to pitch..

  • Hope it serves you well. Nathan's goal is to make kit that works well and lasts. Each bag has been through a massive evolution over the last couple of years, but with very small incremental changes. Rather than just sticking to a design and churning it out he's constantly looking to improve on things. Would love to hear how you get on with the setup and see a pic of the loaded bike.

  • I think it should be alright with scrubbing the outside. Less likely then for my shitbox washign machine to tear it apart :) It looks pretty clean now.

  • Spent yesterday making some bags for a trip around the top of Scotland later this month. Full frame bags in multiple colours are more hassle than its worth!

  • could you give us a DIY tutorial ?

  • Interested by the mention of evolution - has the seatpost strap on the saddlebag holster changed at all?

I did have one but sold it as I couldn't get the strap tight enough on the seatpost, so the bottom of where the holster rests on the seatpost would twist/slip sideways, so a) the bag was held at a funny angle, b) the side it had slipped to would knock into the back of my thigh.

Watching the video on the site it looks like that strap might have changed to wind around the seatpost once before velcro-ing, but I can't strictly remember what the one I had was like.

  • Yeah, for frame bag? You might struggle to do some of the steps on a home machine is your only problem.

  • Unrelated, but I'm pretty sure our other halves are chums

  • Missed a spot by the bb.

  • Yes ! It would be really kind of you

  • What happens when you bikepack in a sidewind?

  • Less than what happens when you race a TT bike in a sidewind.

  • Fairy nuff.

Someone should make a framebag with side panels that unzip and fold out so that if you find yourself in a tailwind you can make your bike look like one of these cunts

    and sail along the road.

  • Yeah, thats to stop me taking those last 10 Mars Bars with me (no carbs before Marbs and all that)

  • Yes! school friends I'm told!

  • Is that Jay Petervary?

  • Without seeing what you're describing it's difficult to say. There were some inconsistencies on early ones ( @spotter may have had a similar issue to you ) with the length of the Seatpost strap. This has been addressed and all velcro pieces are now being pre-cut to ensure they are to specified length and consistent.

It's a case that Nathan (the guy behind Restrap) makes stuff, rides it then looks for niggles/ways to improve it. He also has a load of mates that abuse the stuff and give feedback, plus he listens to what customers/users have to say.

Sorry to hear yours didn't work as expected, it's always worth contacting them if you do have issues, sometimes it's down to user error and sometimes down to a manufacturing slip up, but they'll always do their best to help out either way.

  • Golf umbrella and a bungee and you'll be on your way

  • My uraltour V1 turned up, seems like a nice, well made bit of kit.

Problem is though, it's got quite big backpack type quick release clips that have to thread between saddle rails and saddle and due to my using an SMP Forma quite far forward on the saddle rails there's no room for those clips to get through the rails and out the other side.

Not quite sure what I can do about that... 🤔

  • Would you leave the bag on for any length of time?
If so, would moving the saddle back give you enough room?

  • Well the plan is use it for the commute, so pop it off when I leave the bike locked at work then re-attach it when I'm heading home. And then take it off for rides at the weekend. I guess I could potentially move the saddle to attach it then leave it as a semi-permanent feature but it wouldn't be ideal.

  • Right.
One technique I use is to put my stuff in a shopping bag and then stick that into the bike bag.

  • Just get a qr seat post.
