• Today I decided to spend a couple of hours messing around with my old 1948 BSA Streamlight. The original wheels and saddle were completely shot so I replaced them with a Brooks and the wheels from my Rudge which is far to large for me.The rear hub is a new SA Two speed kick shift coaster, the rims are old Rigida Westwoods. The bars are new,the stem from a cycle jumble. The frame has just been 'cleaned' with an oily cloth.
The question is do I leave it rat look or have the frame shot blasted and powder coated a loud colour add a matching enclosed chain case and build the hub into new black rims?
