might also be worth checking fetcheveryone.com and clicking on the racefinder there. It is the best place I have found for finding races, unless you buy Athletics Weekly and look in the back of that.
Final long run done of marathon training. 24 hours later than it should have been but hopefully that won't affect things too much. Tried to pick up the last five miles but could only manage three. Definitely the hottest run I have had so far.

This week I've officially declared myself a spectator for VMLM. Having given up on the racing idea a few weeks ago I thought I might use my place to help out MsPub with pace-making, but this doesn't really chime with erring on the side of caution for achilles recovery. (Especially as she's so quick!) The achilles feels pretty normal now but I'm also enjoying cycling in this proper Spring weather, so return to running will be ultra-conservative and geared towards being competitive again over the Summer.
So.....
It's not much but I've got my 5km (wooh big numbers!) at 21:34. I can sort of plod a 10k in 50ish.
I don't want to do more than that distance, i like parkrun (yes i know. Sportives of running). I don't want to do a load of charity events. Are there hilly runs, i mean. I live in Sydenham. There's a hill everywhere.
