Boring hi fi story... My dad's old yamaha rxv797 died. We'll, I think the thermo fuse is the power supply is gone (project for later).
Opened it up and the amps internals are covered in a saltwater slime. They live 5 mins from the beach. Corroded bits everywhere.
I replaced the amp with a yamaha as701. Now paired with a Nad disc player, and his krix symphonix it sounds amazing. Very much smoother and natural sounding. Thing is, how do we stop the corrosion? Any one have any tricks? Cabinet already has doors and sealed back...
