It gets a little easier once you've done a couple of bosses (namely because of leveling and weapon upgrades)
What class are you?
If your a physical-weapon character, the Deep Battle Axe is a superb weapon until Abyss Watchers (or maybe further, i switched to the Dark Sword then and still use it)
Started 3rd playthrough (for the 3td ending and to challenge myself) it feels harder than Ng+ (obvious i know but NG+ was not that harder than NG)
