  • Do you want to just protect the cable? If so just run a bit of liner, I do it on my 29er to keep the cable from getting damaged.

  • @spotter Well yes, but it doesn't look as neat I reckon and the worry of having bikepacking bags that would squeeze the cable and liner, making it not work properly. And mostly because of grime and stuff that makes the cable worsen in harsher conditions.

    I might be completely wrong ha, but it makes sense in my head.

  • I don't see why you couldn't do the same with normal outer and some end stops, might increase the friction a bit.
