Yes you're right . Don't like the look of the holes near the dropouts though

These look like the bars for the latest Canyon Aeroad/ Ultimate/ Endurace, worth a punt?

Ordered some SPD-SL cleats for £2 off eBay. It's just plastic right, what could go wrong?...

Anyone got any experience with the Loctite on eBay from China that's about 1/5 of the price of the UK stuff?
-
• #5633
Yeah,
that's what I thought also. The plastic was so flimsy my shoe ripped off putting in some watts. I got a refund, but I can't say I would recommend trying. -
• #5634
Thanks - Should be OK, I normally only average about 450w on my commute into work.

Looking to stash some saddles in my shopping cart for the 7th anniversary sale, anybody have any experience with the gub SMP copy?
The pics of the chaunts one with the nasty looking screws several pages back is giving me pause for concern

Ordered mine from a Vietnamese Ebay seller, good stuff
-
• #5638
It's generally past it's use-by date, but then the use-by dates are massively conservative and IME the actual stuff is fine.
-
• #5639
Ta muchly, I'll take a punt.
-
• #5640
Wow that didn't take long, fake Knog Oi bells up already

Cross-post from tyres, but they are shite, the original ones at least.

Any good? Was looking at some Cosine 55mms from Wiggle but they've been discontinued now. Just for riding around London/Kent/Surrey.

I've got those (25mm width) but on disc hubs. No issues with them whatsoever.
My bro's got CN Carbon 23mm wide 'tubeless ready' wheels for rim brakes from CNCarbon. He's only put about 100mi on them so far, but they seem strong and haven't exploded. Haven't tried running them tubeless though.

Running 23 wide 38 deep cn's tubeless with spesh roubaix pro 30mm. They were rly easy to set up with a floorpump even.

Got 23 wide x 50mm deep clinchers from CN*Carbon and they're pretty good - only put 400 miles on them so far though.
They come with rim tape which I dont think was mentioned in the listing.
Do wish I had gotten red nipples though. (No context)

Great, I think I'll give them a go, seems like great value for the money and standard hubs
-
• #5648
Right.
1 1/8 disc fork cyclocross (for my pompetamine), it'd be nice if it had mudguard eyes as well.
That people might have used without breaking their face. What is out there please thankyou.

For every day riding with rim brakes I wouldn't bother with carbon clinchers.

Yeah I get what you mean, this is to put on my Bowman Palace which doesn't currently have a wheelset and which I want to use to start racing crits as well.
Wiggle have just come back to me and said they've discontinued the brand and will supply Prime products instead so these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/prime-rr-50-carbon-clincher-road-wheelset/
I don't think the price difference is justified in this case is it?
My main "adventure" bike will be my Genesis Equilibrium on which I've got a lovely set of H Plus Son Arch with Hope Mono hubs and Sapim spokes.
Looking at the last picture, I'd say it's not integrated
