It starts with the Pompetamine. My current do-it-all.
Remember
4 years ago and first race.
First upgrade
New paint
FBNPNA commuter with 1x10, risers, mudguards and slick.
Here with my mate's 1X9
Then I grew the idea of touring long distance with it.
I first wanted to put the compact drops back on and keep the trigger shifter using a front derailleur clamp. Buy some bikepacking bags and go.
But slowly with all the inspirational bikes going here and there. I wanted more.
About a month ago I went full #buyer and got some nice bits in order to convert the Pomp again.
And trouble began.
I had ordered a wheelset for 10s. I got confused with the Shimano MTB 11s compatibility.
After returning them and searched the internet. I decided to give myself the real stuff.
and asked a friend to lace them for me.
Meanwhile I had put the lowrider and ortlieb panniers on for better commuting.
On Tuesday night I got my wheels back. So smooth Much beauty
Stripped the Pomp and started to put the parts and damn the struggle is real.
The chainstays and drop outs wouldn't clear the smallest cog for the chain so I put a washer on driveside.
It was already late, I was sweating and tired so went to sleep on it.
