I did, before the pounds got weaker, seemed good, have to true it up again, which remain solid afterward.

Seem quite a good price for the weight, I've been looking at shaving a bit of weight from my girlfriends bike and saving a few 100g from the stock Bontrager wheels / tyres is looking like a good start.

I'd been interested in people's experience of the cosine wheels. I've had Mavic Ksyrium Elites since 2013 but they are pretty worn out now. I have a decent set of deep section wheels for uk summer, but want something light for trips to Mallorca/Nice that will double up for use on the winter bike. I'm 85kg so don't want them to be too flexy.

I know a few people with the cheapest cosine wheels, including my brother. No problems that I'm aware of. Not the lightest but great for the price and solid.

Regarding the Cosine wheels, they have taken offline most of the wheels. I've asked them on Twitter what the reason was behind this decision and will update here but read in this what you like.

Shame as I was about to pull the trigger on a set of 55mms.

mavic ksyrium pro exalith, yay or nay?

It's more for a Sunday best kind of bike, I get that wheels at a decent price on trade and have a voucher to use up.

My other choices are Fulcrum and Campagnolo but the only option for a similar braking surface is the Fulcrum C17 whom they don't even recommend riding in the rain as it wear out the braking surface!

I've had too many mavic freehub bodies (3) shit the bed for me to trust them again.

I'm talking about the Exalith version, which is this;

Supposely a more powerful braking performance (in spite of squealing)

I work for an authorised Mavic dealership, so can do warranty or replace freehub bodies easily, good point thought, Fulcrum/Campagnolo are much better in term of servicing it (cup and cones).

Do you know when are the new open pros out?

At the moment no, we are still selling the old Open Pro which seemed to be snagging up quickly by old timers.

I realised the other option is the Campagnolo Shamal Ultra Dark Label, which cost similar to the Ksyrium Pro Exalith, might be a much better wheelset.

The Exalith does offer greater reassuring braking, but not at the trade off of a narrower rim. Wait for the new Open Pro's.

Swissstop bxp on alu rims do a fine job

The new model I ordered is the wider one I think.

TBH, width doesn't really matter as I'm now 68kg, and found the 25mm tyres as comfortable as a 28mm on wide rims (abet a gnat less stable)

Last year. This year Kool Stop Campagnolo fit the Shimano.

They might not destroy my rims in a year.
