  • Ewan, you're a legend I'll PM you.

  • any solcitor's able to witness my house contract tomorrow AM?

would be a bit of a bodge as my wife has signed it, but wont be present...

my solicitor (found through this thread) is based in the back and beyond!

  • an old thread dredge, does anyone have any recent recommendations for surveyors and solicitors in East?

  • Martin Browne of Gisby harrison is pretty decent as far as solicitors go...

Use him on 2 purchases and 1 sale...

As far as surveyors BRM is an ex house surveyor and offered me sound advise when I was looking first time...

  • As far as surveyors BRM is an ex house surveyor and offered me sound advise when I was looking first time...

So does your house now sound like the Fucktones?

  • Digging this one up, any newer recommendations for a conveyancing solicitor? We're London based but would be happy to use someone from "outside", cheers.

  • Caroline Sherry at Glazer Delmar in East Dulwich.

Mention my name, Matt Ashton (see what I did there?)

  • Cheers! My girlfriend already spoke with Gibsy Harrison and got a good impression but we'll give Glazer a call and see what we think.

  • Also dealt with Martin at Gisby Harrison. Highly recommended. I think he's got a lot of work from this place...

  • I am reading this thread whilst eating in a cheap hotel on the outskirts of Manchester.

I am here because my mum, who is 89 is moving home tomorrow, and I'm helping.

To make this move happen, I have had to deal with x3 conveyancing solicitors, and each one has been a twat.

On the plus side, she's moving in tomorrow, despite the fact that each one of the cunts said yesterday there was no way it could be made to happen.

On the double plus side, I might be in a cheap hotel, but as it's 'up north' dinner is Black Pudding Salad (proper Bury Black Pudding), followed by Liver and Bacon. All accompanied by proper beer (natch).

  • Quick update. My dinner has just arrived. I have been living in London so long, I had forgotten that a sprinkling of Cress might be considered a 'garnish'.

  • I have personally used both Martin and Caroline Sherry.

    No contest. Go Caroline.

  • I tried Glazer Delmar but they couldn't be bothered to answer my first follow up question. Guess
they are too busy. Had to go with somebody else.

  • anyone on here in North London that can pretty please sign something for me? :)
