Loved mine too.
However, the thing with going big, is that it always end up being too small because you tried to crammed in more than you realised!
The most I have tried is a huge 5kg watermelon, lemmie tell ya it really push the limit of a low trail 650b bike.

Custom basket bag winging it's way to me as I type
@edscoble I faced the same problem as you mentioned above, rando bag wasn't big enough for day to day. So I've gone bigger with a big Wald and this ^ so I can do my day to day shopping etc. Rando bag will go back on for tours or maybe even my track beater bike which has my orignal Soma rack on.

That's nice. Funnily enough I was thinking about contacting him to make me one for the small Wald, with a link to the Swift Sugar Loaf bag.

Niiice. Think we need a post-Waitrose (you deserve it) full roster BigxTop bulging luggage shot after the weekly shop.
Seriously though, not sure if I've missed it but do you have a mid/long-term opinion on 650b over 700c since making the switch.

I'm a 650 convert for sure, definitely more comfortable for no noticeable drop in speed. However one thing I will say is that the larger tyres definitely are more sluggish when under pressured. That being said it's more noticeable to me as it's taken ages to get my rims sealed up with tubeless, so pressure levels are constantly in my mind. Now they finally are I doubt I'll notice.
When my horizons die I'll get some 45c just to give me a bit more room to play with, I'm very happy otherwise.

Looking to go 650b at some point on my Croix too. Following this post is really testing my patience to not wade in as I've got another project on.

Also, in other news I'm having a doubts about keeping this bike. I'm really enjoying the simplicity of commuting on my single speed.
And as the CFD is mostly used for commuting with a few tours a year it seems a bit too much bike for the purpose.
"What would you replace this?" with I hear you cry! Well my current speculation is as follows. I finally managed to get some Salsa forks with a thru axle and a tapered steerer second hand for my 29er mtb:
Which I will get a full set of islets put on so I can run all the racks I currently do AND anything cages. I have a spare rim, which I will build a dynamo into. I can put a platform rack on or a low rider like I currently have if need, and slicks and go touring or off road. Basically a set up like @Hulsroy has atm:
The SS I currently have is fun, but not wildly practice the forks can only take 25c and mudguards, and has better brakes.
So, I'm very tempted to use my cycle2work voucher to get this (or similar):
Sell my single speed, pop the rack on the day one, maybe a cheap dynamo setup and have a more functional commuter, that's more simple.
Is this a stupid plan? what do you think?

I think you're a hard man to please. And come winter you might want to ride the CdF a bit more. It kind of baffles me that you've put so much effort into that bike to then suddenly consider selling it...

I wouldn't say hard to please, but I'm refining down what I want/need. Plus at some point owning as many bikes as I do will become impractical, simply on grounds of storage.
I'm also going to sell my road bike and get a second wheelset for my cross bike, so I can also use it as a fast bike packing tourer if needed. Sell three bikes - buy one.
@amey HA!

I was thinking the other day your MTB and CDF are almost the same thing
Yeah, me too. 19.99gbp is a joke.
