Disco is a chuffing big chunk of metal. -
Without your own no claims, then you are going to spend a lot on insurance. No idea if Discos are more expensive than anything to insure.
However, what they are expensive on is repairs and maintenance. Older discoveries are fucking sheds that break in expensive ways at any given provocation. Look at the thing funny and something will fail. I would steer well clear. -
Not sure if you're in London or not but location is likely to be as high factor on price as age or anything else.
Park it on the street in East / south east London and watch the £££ fly.

That's surprising, I assumed a disco would be cheap, my defender is around 1400 and I'm a teenager living in London... try aviva's online calc as it was by far the cheapest for me.

Are LR discoverys notoriously expensive to insure?
Im looking to buy an early 2000s one, 25 yo, liscence for 7 years been insured on numerous cars as a named driver but never my own policy and cant get much below £1400?
