Hardwood is called hardwood for a reason. And dimpling was even harder than I'd thought. Did the stays first, rear triangle went out of alignment, realigned that, then forks, thought I'd go mad for a while as just when I'd gotten everything set in the vise things would go 'spoinggg' and come loose. Forks also went out of true (only laterally thank f*ck) so had to do a bit of reading and then came up with a home hacked jig/measuring thing with a string. All's well that ends well I suppose and now there's room for 38mm tyres back and front. Pics below.
