Ah just seen
CylingMaven was saying similar in his video earlier, that he was happy he quit his job as those who had taken time off work were voicing concerns as the headwinds had destroyed their planned schedules and finishing in time was looking impossible, rubbish situation

So Kristof is between Geelong and Melbourne already. Can't believe it. Last time I drove down to Melbourne from here via GOR it took me about that time.
The path in that video is the torrens linear park, and usually it'd be sweet, but they're building a big piece of road and public transport infrastructure there right now and everything is a mudpit and blocked off. Jesse, being from Melbourne, would probably not have known that when he made the route.

Such a huge effort. Did the ride from Laver's Hill to Geelong a few months ago and that was big enough. Must be great for them to have some scenery now!

Damn. That's impressive - chapeau.
@frank9755 is back on the move and heading into Adelaide!

Sarah's coming through on the Yarra Boulevard by our house shortly. May pop out and meet the boys for a few ice cold frothies and a cheer!

I like how he fitted the frame bag backwards

Haha, juju has got over her illness and gone back to Perth and started all over again! Smashed out 800km in first 36 hours
-
• #367
Is it backwards or is everyone else's backwards?
-
• #368

These self supported event formats are bloody great to follow and a bargain to enter. I can't help feeling RAAM might see a big decline in takeup unless they do something to spice their format up, it has lost a lot of its appeal to me, anyway. This is proving a great event, much epicness.

RAAM still has a (relatively) massive following in the US. It wasn't that big over here anyway.
I don't think they have too much to worry about but I could totally see an unsupported category in their future, much like the Silver State 508 and some of the other longer rides have done. -

Melbo micro nap then up those lumps. Go Hamster

This event is insane. A week ago, I was super jealous... now I am in awe. They must be totally, utterly wrecked... and they still have miles to go.

Brings out a certain type of freak I guess ;)
Poor Kristof, I'd have told those guys to just fuck off.
