A device which increases the relative humidity (RH) in an enclosed space by evaporating water
Some people find breathing easier if the RH is high. Conversely, some people have trouble with high RH and benefit from a dehumidifier (basically the condenser part of an air conditioning system). Your pulmonologist can tell you which of these two possibilities applies to you.
