  • I'll join you for that Oliver.

  • Quite excité about this. Now pondering on whether or not this will warrant leg warmers and long sleeves. I'll be on 44x15 aka the #GearOfTheBonk because I'm too lazy to pack something more sensible.

Also, I'll do my best but if I'm slow to show up at the station please include me in the group save :) (by the way I think we can now order the group save from the ticket machine, technology marches on) (we're meeting under the big clock, right?)

  • I should be there in good time, I'll make sure you get in on the group save @cgg

I'm on 48x18 on my refreshed beater. I'm hoping that as it's a bit lighter than the pomp it'll be easier cranking it around. You know I realised I've never done the 5 Hill with you all (I don't think). I'm muey excititando

  • I fear this

  • Some trepidation my end. 48x19 and a fair few miles in my legs this week already. Don't think it's a ride for short sleeves....

  • 11pm Wednesday. Flapjacks cooling and new bike parts. Season start. Oh dear.

  • We're all in good company, overdid it at regents and legs feel empty. We can struggle together - except for @cgg who I am sure will cruise up the hills with that lovely merde-eating grin of his :)

  • 1) middleofnowhere
    2) yal
    3) Scrabble
    4) cgg
    5)

    Ride out:
    1) ruserius
    2) Jaeyukdapbap
    3) Rod_Munch

  • If my Sunday training taught me anything it's that I'm quite slow, so we're all in this together.

Dunno why I fret so much about this anyway, done it many times and, while there will always be moments when I wonder why I'm not sitting on my sofa at home in front of the telly, it has not killed me yet.

  • Don't worry, the #gearOfTheBonk will keep me at bay. Anyway, as the song goes:

Vivre sans souci boire du purin manger d'la merde
C'est le seul moyen de ne jamais crever de faim

    (more French profanities follow)

I can sing it this evening if you insist.

  • I'll be riding out, because that went well last time

  • I won't make this, but hope to see you in Roydon

  • I'm a bit early. Currently standing near the clock / ticket machines.

  • Great ride, thanks again Matt! Nice to have you along @Scrabble and of course just like old times (last year) seeing the rest of your faces

  • Well that went as expected. Made it home for 2am. Alarm went off at 0645 :/

Muswell Hill to home is usually about 15-20m. Last night it was the best part of an hour into a bastard headwind. Character building I guess. Thanks for waiting at the top of every climb! Glad I came along... I think

  • Thanks all, really enjoyed it. Legs are feeling it today. Hope to make it to the next one although it'll be a long way home...@cgg I think owe you a pint so i'll need to settle that before too long.

  • Cracking ride... thanks Matt. And nice art @youramericanlover. I'll also remember the train ride back for quite some time.
