  • I've put around 150 miles on this commuting and a trip round Dorset and I'm enjoying it so much more than I expected. It's not that much slower than my road bike, especially on badly surfaced country lanes, and I still felt fresh after a a long weekend ride.

Next up a front rack (probably Pelago) for commuting and light touring and some mudguards before i head to Skye and the Outer Hebrides in May.

One thing is that the mini-v's have gone from razor sharp to super spongy already. Any ideas?

  • I had a similar experience with regular v's. It seems they just eat up soft rubber brake pads. But I'd rather change brake pads than having them chew through my rims.
    ---edit---
Also, after fitting new pads on mine, I flipped the spacers around so the thickets spacer is inwards - It is supposed to make up for slimmer rims.
