• And of course the detailed technical stuff along with the before and after was the very reason to watch the show - if it's now to be "high energy personal interaction" with some cars in the background, with a load of time dedicated to "this time we're not sure we'll get it done in time" conversations it's going to be shit.

    Edd's bits are the only bits I watch. Watching Mike Brewer buy a car is frankly pretty dull, as is watching him sell it. The technical meat in the middle was the only good bit (skipping the fake reaction 'Wow, that's amazing'/'What have you done?' bit in the middle). Sounds like they're going to turn it into something more like Car SOS, which I find unwatchably awful. Just as soon as they start getting stuck into the technical stuff, they then cut to Tim Shaw failing to be in any way amusing or entertaining.

    Oh well, it was good while it lasted.
