Drop bars through stem problem!?

I'm trying to get my Nitto B130AAF Classic English Drops through a standard quill stem. Both clamp sizes are 25.4mm.

Problem is the curve on the drops are so drastic I cant feed it through the stem.
I've tried the coin and screwdriver hack and it still cant hoop through.

Any suggestions on vintage silver quill stems that have a hinged clamp or removable section?

Have you tried inserting a coin and twisting to leverage the quill clamp open while negotiatingthe curves? 1mm might be all you need...

My Stem isn't recessed on both sides. I can only access the bolt through one side, so cant do the coin thang. :(
