I don't mind targeted ad stuff at all tbh. It's the stream of uninvited bullshit pop-ups for diets, body-building, teeth whitening, celeb gossip and shit hallmark style inspirational stories masquerading as news which pour, unbidden, all over your browser when ever you stray into the straight net that annoy me.

And the bandwidth. Won't somebody think of the bandwidth?!
I want the site I'm viewing loaded yesterday. I don't want it playing second fiddle to a pile of other shit I have no interest in. And youtube videos.. fucking ads before videos can fuck off.

Don't pretend that isn't well-targeted.
Let's admit, we dislike adverts because the tech is so good it holds a mirror up to ourselves and our desperate desire to diet, have a bigger penis, and sleep with Nicole Kidman.

Its not well targeted - more like lazy buckshot
I have no need or desire for the above ... -

That was my point. I don't need to diet, or get a bigger penis... though I'm open on the Nicole Kidman bit.

Was curious what people thought about Ad Nauseam? I've started using it (instead of an ad blocker) to obfuscate my web presence, but am uncertain over the ethics of a couple of things:
1) I am making money for those who host ads.
2) I am costing money for those who make use of ads.And technically, it's a tad of a pain at times as it slows down the browsing experience on ad heavy webpags.
Thoughts?
People don't like to think it works...
