  • What I'm trying to say is that generally not explicitly, most MTB shoes are softer because they are designed to enable comfortable walking / hiking. However, you are right that some MTB (race / enduro) shoes are very stiff.
    There are also cheap / low quality road shoes that are as soft as a wet turd.

  • That would actually be much more accurate, sorry I guess what i was being pedant about MTB shoes in general, had been doing all sort of ride with MTB shoes (Sidi Dominator), and never had any issues with hotspot let alone concern about flex.
