I always cling film it if it's going under clothes for the first week. I'd rather it sweat a bit than get rubbed dry.
I do not understand why people waste time with this. All this fiddely after care stuff is just to sell creme and make realistic tattoos look better for the first 6months. After a year you cant tell the difference from a dry healed tattoo. Too much after care is often worse than too little. Wrap for a few hours if you cant get home to shower. Tegederm for the first 24-48hrs if the artist has it. Wash with water as hot as you can stand to get the puss ink out of pores. Use clean sheets, wear clean clothes and a thin layer of cream once a day when it starts to get dry and itchy. Other that that ignore it.
