So I just took off the rather grim wall lights and found this beneath. Just to double check since it isn't my house, could I just disconnect the wires from the light at the block and then leave the block in the wall with a blank plate over it?
I know you aren't meant to leave live wiring in the wall but the fitting will be used again. Cheers
Yes. Just make sure that there is no exposed copper before you put that cover plate back on. Adjust the position of the wires if need be. Make sure the cover plate doesn't crush the terminal block, or force any wires loose when fitted.
