feel-vice they are exactly what I thought they would be: somewhere in the middle between bb7/other mechanicals and full hydraulics. They modulate better than mechanicals but feel somewhat murky/muddy compared to full hydros.
I've generally had pleasant experiences with them but somehow I managed to soil the pads of the rear brake when chancing the summer wheels, heh.
From your described, it sound like a careful trimming of a proper full compressionless housing will sufficient in making it feel like a full hydraulic.
Will be putting those on the Elephant with SRAM 1ospd shifters, 11-36 plus 46/34 a good ratios.
