What kind of tyre size do people think you need for gravel/hardpack but not full off-road? Part of my interest in these bikes is the fact I found the gravel bits of the Camel Trail quite unpleasant with 28s on my Fratello - and I'm probably going to end up riding there quite a bit with my old man as he gets older, it's local to him and there's no traffic so he quite likes it.
I guess I'm wondering if 32mm is going to be enough of a change - I'm leaning towards bikes that are still pretty audax-y in geo, just with the extra tyre clearance that discs seem to provide.
