Is this a defect in my new carbon bike?

Hey forum hive mind. I'm new to the world of carbon and just had my new (insurance replacement) carbon bike delivered and there is a weird mark on the top tube. Pretty sure it is not a scratch as it is raised to the touch. Is this a structural defect, or just something surface level?

Should I send it back or just deal with it?

It looks a lot like delamination to me, I'd seek to return it if it were me.

Delamination? Do you think it's just a cosmetic defect then?

It's taken around 2 months to go through the insurance claim plus getting the bike delivered, so i was really looking forward to going for a ride tomorrow!

But yes, the smart thing would be to send it back.

If it's noticeably raised then it's unlikely to be a cosmetic defect.
