That said every time I discuss headphones with my wife she thinks I'm trying to block out noise from our imminent baby arrival.
Which is only half true.

So, what would people suggest for office headphones? Needs noise cancelling + mic... I am trying for the QC25's but I get the feeling my VP will reject me getting 10 pairs for the team.
Anything mid-range, sort of ~100/150 price ?

Could you not get them on trade if you're buying that many?
-

Forced to use a stupid procurement system, where the 3rd party company actually charges MORE than I can buy them in the shop for :S

Well with silly bollocks logic like that he'll probably sign off 20 qc35s! ;)

Walked past b&o store at lunch time and snapped. Walked out with H8s in chocolatey colour. Listening now. Very nice for home/office use so far - looking forward to trying on trains etc.

First use is Pet Sounds remaster. Holds up very well until the highest ranges of volume via Bluetooth where it starts to glitch a little but that's OK as it's an uncomfortable volume.

Can anyone recommend a good quality replacement cable for AKG K450? Or are they all a bit shit? My second cable has stopped working.

Cool, thanks very much. I'm no expert but that looks sturdier than what I'm using. Ordered.

Anyone used this site before? Is it legit...
-
• #1314
^ that company is registered in the Seychelles, a tax haven. Out of interest.

• #1315
Actually. The company that registered the website is registered in the Seychells. These guys:
http://www.therichmondgroup.co.uk/But Toby Deals say they're based in Hong Kong.
I think they look a bit fishy but probably fine.

Any recommendations for bluetooth earphones around £25 on Amazon? (have a gift card to spend)

Good news! The Flare Audio R2As have stopped working in one ear.
I give up with headphones
-
• #1318
wtf do you do to them, esse?
give em a call - they were pretty good when i lost a piece of mine
-
• #1319
I have no clue. I use them everyday but when they're not in use they're in a protective case.
I guess being plugged into a phone that's in my pocket is too much for headphones.

It's actually just under 2 months.

So I got some pretty poor reviews about the QC35s and their battery life and Bluetooth connectivity issues when using noise cancelling - anyone got anything to say about this? I'm wondering whether to go for the model down...
-
• #1323
Got some for my Mrs for Christmas and she loves them, just asked about your issues and she says no connectivity issues, uses them for 2 to 3 hours a day and usually only charges them once every 2 weeks.

Battery life on mine is excellent. Not sure how many hours but the 30-40 above sounds about right.
No connectivity problems either. You can't not use noise cancelling though so not sure about 'when using noise cancelling'
That's good to know, cheers. I remember the last time I used headphones (these) for prolonged periods (sitting in studios for 10+ hours at a time) I was getting headaches from the weight and the compression around the ears. Great sonic accuracy but no fun.
In other news I keep walking past the B & O store in Hove :(
