A few years ago my cousin Matty promised his friend Tom that they would ride LEL together, but unfortunately last year Matty was in a collision on his bike whilst riding home and suffered a serious brain injury. This means that he won't be able to do the ride and it also means he's on a very difficult path and needs all the help he can get. Tom has passed on the challenge of LEL to me; both as a ride in his honour, but also as a fundraiser to try and help Matty and his family.
