I've always wanted something like this, ever since watching Diva in the 80s. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PUCH-MAXI-50cc-CLASSIC-PEDAL-AND-POP-MOPED-1-YEARS-MOT-READY-TO-GO-/292041728473?hash=item43ff0b21d9%3Ag%3AVDcAAOSwTuJYtp9D Not a fully restored one for a grand though, obviously! What's the law about them in the uk? They must have to have a numberplate and stuff, but would they be tax exempt?
Number plate and VED.
Weren't they sold by woolworths? Check out the prices of Ciao and Si here, I got mine forĀ£30 from a garage and it had sat there for since the 90's. Need quite a bit of work tho.
