So we're going to need DJs.
And if you know the Slaughtered Lamb then you'll know there's an upstairs and a downstairs, and it's the downstairs that has a room with a bar and dancefloor. The downstairs is where the music will be playing loudly, whereas upstairs is just a bar and kitchen and the music will be background level.
Happy to give over the downstairs in a number of slots:
The first slot is good for fun stuff, also perfectly happy if someone just wants to make a mixtape of fine moments and puts that on (I may do this if no-one wants to fill that slot).
The last slot has got to be good for dancing... by which in the past the most successful music for a mass of forumengers has been a max of: Northern Soul (the proper stuff), NY alt-dance (i.e. LCD Soundsystem) and occasional Cheesy Rock Classics (i.e. Journey - Don't Stop Believing). The word eclectic comes to mind... go heavy on the Northern Soul as that has always worked the best.
So the last slot will only be given to someone who can bring songs that fill dancefloors, and whose set goes deep on Northern Soul.
The middle two slots I'm cool with going wherever they need to go... let me know what you think would work and what you want to do.
