Selling my Opera (sister brand to Pinarello) 54cm C-C titanium and carbon bike frame. I’m not sure what model it is (I am the second owner), I think it is close to a Palladio (mid 2000s) but I never put the time in to find out for myself. The serial number is pictured if you’re curious to find out. This is a rare frame, made even rarer by the modified paint job.
No significant damage to report (aside from wear and tear) but I did have the rear dropouts replaced when I bought the frame in 2014. The previous one-piece aluminium hanger was slightly bent so the dealer I bought the frame from arranged for them both to be replaced in Italy with Deda replaceable ones. The work was done professionally - check the pictures.
The paint job has changed since I’ve had the frame. Originally it had a matt paint job that unfortunately wasn’t very hardwearing so in 2015 I had the frame taken down to the metal powdercoat (which looks much better anyway). This layer is staying put - 2 years on and no damage.
Full info as follows:
Seat tube 54cm C-C
Top tube 55cm C-C
Fork steerer diameter 1 1/8” straight (not tapered)
Head tube 14cm
Italian threaded BB (Shimano 105 BB will be supplied)
Horizontal geometry
Braze on front derailleur
Seat post 27.2mm diameter
Provisionally looking for £350 for the frame and fork (Columbus Tusk light with carbon steerer), though I am open to offers. Collection from either Oxford or London, willing to post nationally at cost.
