It's pretty nice as it is, but it doesn't get a lot of miles.
I'm thinking single speed and flat or riser bars.
Question: is anyone using a surly 135mm flip flop hub on a cross check, and if so, what sort of chainline results? What will I need to do about the crank?
Hoping just to put a bigger ring on the inside of the current Stronglight double and run with that. But also would consider a different crank / bb if there is any advantage in it.
The 135mm surly hubs are designed for the same chain line as the outside of a normal mountain bike chainset, which gives a 53.5mm chain line. So I imagine that you will either need to change the bb or chainset to get the right chain line.
