Been for a ride with the seatpost, all good. Nice and comfy, saddle didn't shift and it didn't snap. Note that I'm 2m tall and 93kg, so plenty of weight and leverage on it.
Popped it out after the ride and had a look and it all looks fine below and around the clamping area too.
