  • Fuck.

    Any CCTV?

  • Ah that absolutely sucks man. Hope insurance sorts you out.

  • There is a camera by the main gate to the apartment building, have requested footage. It's all insured and everything but what a ball-ache.

Already thinking about what to get to replace it though.

  • What's on the short list?

  • Superduke 1290 R, S1000R, Hypermotard 939, Street Triple RS

  • I might get a discount on triumph if you're interested...

  • New bike time something to be excited about.

I spent two hours yesterday extracting decayed baffle foam from the tank of my RS with a bent coat hanger and my too fat fingers. Horrible task.

  • Came back yesterday evening to find my lock gone. Fecking £100 worth of abus. I don't lock it as super quiet residential St and it's normally in a flower beds under a thorny bush, cannot be seen unless you are literally on hands and knees with your arm extended under the bush feeling for it.
Either someone seen me put it there and fancied it or being set up for a "locks gone so will jsut leave it unlocked tonight" kind of a job. So in retaliation put 4 bike locks on it and a well positioned Stanley blade on underside of grip.

  • Leave a note on the inside of your front door to remind yourself about the Stanley blade.

  • Worth askin the neighbours incase one of them thought it was dumped and binned it?

  • I've always wanted something like this, ever since watching Diva in the 80s.

Not a fully restored one for a grand though, obviously!
What's the law about them in the uk? They must have to have a numberplate and stuff, but would they be tax exempt?

  • The internet tells me that what I actually need is a 1981 Malaguti Firebird.

  • There was a shop on the Kings Road near Worlds End that was selling the french style bikes with tiny petrol engines for a while, clearly not a good enough idea to survive very long.

It will be the power output that determines the requirements for tax, mot etc. Surely you'd be better off with an electric pushbike.

  • So does anyone here have an old Vespa they'd be willing to sell? quite open to different model/ years

  • No.

  • Number plate and VED.

    Weren't they sold by woolworths?
Check out the prices of Ciao and Si here, I got mine for£30 from a garage and it had sat there for since the 90's. Need quite a bit of work tho.

  • Woolworths sold Tomas

  • I'd rather have a Whizzer. Strange little things, I've seen a few putting around here. They're very collectible.

What I'd really like is a Passport / Cub with an upgraded motor. I have a mild obsession with C70/90s.

  • That's really nice, know what you mean about C90's. I'd happily go around the world on one.

  • I've always been into going fast on motorcycles but C90s are just so wonderfully utilitarian. I've great memories of riding them and still struggle to think of a more practical around town machine.

  • I've heard tale of people supercharging a c90, although i think power is capped at about 20bhp (or you face bike failure)

  • Purple helmets, C90.

  • Not man enough for a c50?

  • My first ever bike was a C50. Lovely. I had a green one and a blue one. Sold them both to a couple of dutch guys to buy an AR50(80)

  • Cheers m8! If anyone has something like a vbb, 150 super, bajaj, or even a nice little 50, dont mind what condition, send me a message
