the pinkish looking caad4 aero ?
-
• #7628
Guys, does anyone have some photo of caad4 r500 with alpina fork? I'm tempted to pair those two together...
-
• #7629
Can you get Alpina forks with a 1 inch steerer?
-
• #7630
Can you?
edit - sorry, thought you were suggesting it.
-
• #7631
Haha,
I had a google and you actually can. -
• #7632
So did I! not easy to find new tho.

I have 1-1/8 steerer on my r500... Nevermind, I'll try it myself. Just wondering about front rake and clearance. It would be easier seeing a photo than doing it in person.
-
• #7635
So yeah, if anyone is wondering, slice fork clearance is 3,2mm and alpina is 2,3. I'll try it out to se if it's any difference.

CAAD 9 owners, is there a cut out in the head tube where it joins the down tube? Long story short, friend got something stuck in the down tube, there's no cut out where the bb joins the down tube. Bike not here ATM so can't check. Appreciate the help!

I've creaked. Taken 11 months but it finally happened.
Upon further investigation the spidering is lose and it's not the BB. Got about 2mm movement. Is it usual for them to come loose??
I've got about 1600km on the BB. Worth swapping out when the cranks are off?

The six13 has the cutout at the headtube. Not sure about the C9 and if all the various versions of it were made the same.
Only one way to find out :)

The ring should not come loose because the lock ring is glued on and torqued highly. I'm guessing someone skipped the glue or the correct torque.
Do the bearings feel ok? If they do don't change them :)

Follow Howard's advice, they sometime forget to apply glue base on most of the creaking Cannondale I had serviced.

I deciphered! And bearings are still absolutely fine - took chain off and gave them a spin. The Hope free-hub i've got masks any noise, but fortunately it all ran free and without any sound..
Thanks also @edscoble, bloody Cannondale. Still my favourite bike though.
I'm thinking I'm going to take this to my nearest dealer (TriUK) rather than my local shop. Wanting the assurance they've played with BB30a before and will have the right tools to hand.
@Dammit, if you are going back to Cannondale seat post I can recommend the fancy SAVE one. Picked one up the other day for £40 on FB brand new. God knows what they were swapping to! It takes the bit of road buzz that i used to get on the c2 one. Comfy without too much flex and i'm likely a bit porkier than you..

I'd bet against that, I'm a massive wobbling sack of partially digested Chinese at the moment.

Is this the top end one? https://qwertycycles.co.uk/products/cannondale-save-carbon-seatpost-di2-25-4-diameter
I thought there was one above this but can't see any reference to it on the Qwerty site.

That's the one. It's got quite the flare in it when you look from the back.
It's as fitted to the Dura ace model caad 12. -

caad (12) clamp size was 30.9?
I'd like to add a splash of colour and acid green tune would be just the right thing :-)
got 55mm deep ud gloss Light-Bicycle rims being built up at the moment. Building them with 411 412 novatecs with cx rays. The rims are tubeless ready and I already have svalbe pro one evos in 25mm. Havent done road tubeless before, but all my other bikes are tubeless so eager to try.
can anyone provide links to the cannondale frame and forks 2 pages up, stated it was on ebay but i can't find it
