  • We have reconciled the feeding habits of our cats (one a glutton, the other a grazer) using technology. Higgs now has a robotised feeder that dispenses a small meal three times a day- she is no longer fat.

    James has a bowl that holds three days worth of food, it only opens for him as it scans the chip in his neck before releasing the shutter.

    James is now gaining weight and is a happier cat. Previously Higgs would eat ALL of the food, ALL of the time. Unless James got lucky and managed to grab some.

    Ada does this, and she follows through to completion by puking everywhere afterwards. I think her dominating behaviour is making Newton stressed at meal time, resulting in him becoming a more and more effective alarm clock.

    What technology did you invest in? We need it.

  • This is great to hear. I may have to do something similar. Did you have to insert a new chip into James?
