Maybe @malandro just knew it, I was trying to hint Hide = leather. And I was vaguely hoping these might help:
Hallowed suggesting hall.
Something like Guilt (y) was a hint for guild.

Maybe the inscription on the gates to the Leathersellers' hall was helpful too.

I just got it from the motto on the gate. Slightly challenging to read, but fairly unique all the same (although I think Bach used it to inscribe some works of his, too).

It was the coat of arms with 3 deer/goats/ sheep on it.

Anything heraldic in London on the front of offices led me towards the livery companies.
