66cm frame? Unlikely.

Chinese family, short and proud. Can safely say i've never seen a track frame anywhere near a 66 anywhere i've been.
-
• #30
How am I taller than you but a 66cm is your size?!
-
• #31
Ah well you must visit jiamusi
-
• #32
Tallest man in the world is Chinese...
£3300 is a whole lot of money, but Jammy has put hours in procuring the parts to get this back to factory spec. I think that will mean a lot to people with a passion.
Everyone cracking on about them going for £1-2k.. yeah I've seen loads of frame only for well over a grand, and one for over 2. That would be ridiculous.

Nice bike and I do like it alot (and yes it's about my size!) but I'd only pay that much if it had been ridden to success in the Gent 6 by the risen Christ partnering Merckx. GLWS

There was a 62 posted today that's $1300 frameset in a whole load better condition than this one. I wouldn't value a cockpit, wheelset, cranks and saddle at 2 grand but whatever floats your boat.

If we just bully @ObiWomKenobi in to buying this we can all be done with it
-
• #37
Impossible, Merckx IS the risen Christ.
It is interesting what becomes a collectible bike; an old alloy frame produced in large numbers which wasn't all that great when I rode one from new. Things are worth what people will pay for them, so there is no point moaning about the price.
Note to Eamesy: do not sell kidney, sell fiancee.

You can buy a 2016 model for £849 new, I just have - looking to make a killing in around 2040. I'm spraying it black now

What will our robot overlords want with pushbikes?!
-

Agree. Don't know a damn thing about track bikes except that a lot of them are so beautiful it makes your heart ache. Looking at this, my heart's fine.
-
• #41
Some frames just don't look good in large sizes
-
• #42
£3300. nope.
-
• #43
I sold a 1940s army biek for £20. You could get 165 of those for the price of this. Equip a whole unit.
This doesn't make sense. Sad!
-
• #44
surely too big for you, you'd need the 63 cm no?
-
• #45
Had this for the last couple of years but now considering selling the frameset on
-
• #46
It's pretty old now, I'll give you a packet of jaffa cakes for it.
-
• #47
You should just abandon it in some random public bike shed
-
• #49
Maybe I'll go and put it with the green one, at least it'll be safe for a couple of years.

pics? price?
I know I'll probably get a flaming, and I also know these go for big money, but it's not a pretty thing is it?
In either guise?
