Last August I came off my bike at 95 km/hour going down a hill in Yorkshire while training for a 1000 mile ride from London to Venice that I'd spent the previous 6 months organising.
I smashed my wrist into lots of tiny pieces so was unable to ride until just a few weeks ago.
Unable to ride I thought I'd get stuck in to a cycling project to have a new bike to ride when I finally got better.
I had picked up a Cannondale Supersix Evo Hi-Mod frame on ebay for cheap when bored shortly after pay-day a few months before. The frame was immaculate but didn't really get on with those graphics. So rather than sell it I'd give it a more personal touch.
This is it before hand:
I asked one of my very good friends from my art school days, Rebecca Davies, whether she would decorate my bike for me and she foolishly said yes.
I got the great guys at Cole Coatings stripped it down and painted it white, then Rebecca drew all over it.
Then Cole Coatings added the clear coat and polished it beautifully.
This is it now, waiting for the clear coat to fully dry before I build it up.
I'll post proper pics once it is built up. Hopefully next week.
