  • The winter training has ended and it's time to shed some kg without losing the watts. This time last year I was 81kg (183 height) and got to 77 by July, this time I'm at 79, so 75-76 seems reasonable. Aside from pumping in the miles, and not drinking beer has anyone got any clever suggestions?

  • Not eating any wheat and counting calories seems to have worked for me recently.

    Oats for breakfast. Lots of pulses and proteins to fill yourself up on a reduced number of calories. 1200 a day is doable but not pleasant, 1800 is easier. Accept you will have to be hungry at times.

    If you're going to drink, keep it to one day a week.
