On the concrete, were you intending to wet grind post-casting to acheive the final finish, or aim for something acceptable (or that could be tidied with pin grout and light finishing) straight out of the mould?

Never got that far! But I imagine given the size I was looking at that wet grinding would have been the best approach. I can imagine getting a flawless finish over the longest run (4m) would be pretty difficult.

Cheers. I think edge radius is the most tricky thing. Shouldn't be too hard to get a nice surface finish with a melamine mould. Mine would be about 2.5m long. Also the cool thing about grinding is the possibility to expose aggregate for a different look.
