  • Got a bit of a hard on for the Poljot Strela at the moment.

Wouldn't mind a white face from 1965 but might settle for a re-issue

  • I'm guessing that I'll destroy my warranty if I don't take the watch to Omega to get the crystal replaced?

  • U know a Moon watch isn't for actually going to the Moon?

Most are pampered on the gluttonous wrists of city wankers.

To be wound in soft furnishings regularly.

Get a G Shock? (After costly repair)

  • Watches are for wearing, if they suffer then they can be repaired. I do take it off for working on the car etc, which is one of the reasons I can't work out how it got broken, but life is full of mysteries.

  • Watches are for wearing

This. The hesalite on my moonwatch has picked up a few miniscule marks, but not a day has gone by since I got it that I haven't worn it. trying out a honey leather strap now, think it looks ace, can't wait for it to age a bit.

  • .

  • I'm coming up for my biannual strap change on my speedy. Thinking of a rallye strap. I've worn mine every day for nearly four years. The scratches almost polish themselves out.

  • I have a spare rallye strap - bought in error, you are welcome to it if you want it.

  • I'm convinced Neil just doesn't know how to look after nice stuff... A very clear pattern has emerged...

  • Great! Thanks.

  • nice, have added tag to my post so we can be identified by @Ordinata, the abstemious village nonlibidoist.

  • Are u saying city wankers have a high sex drive? #Confuze

The speedy does lend itself to knocks tho wid the raised glass.

(As I am finding out on the Baytona)

  • Curio, but what is the bottom sub dial on the speedy for btw?

Is it hours on stop watch?

  • Edit. Fail post.

  • I agree that watches are for wearing, I have a 12 year old tag that I wear all the time, only thing it comes off for is tiling!! It did come off during a 5 a side match and break the rear glass.. but the sapphire glass has been great and has no marks at all.

  • I got an old tag that I wore all the time too.

I won't be wearing the Pelagos in the same fashion.

Thin u a bit cray cray if your wearing a 2k+ watch for sporting activities.

It's when u have put the 10th nail in and realise.

    A beater is a beater.

  • Skx has been worn every day since 2011 and only the usual light scratches on the polished steel edges - glass is still mint, somehow.

  • Cleaned up an old mechanical watch that belonged to my great uncle.

The leather strap, attached to fixed bars, had perished, so I cut it off and put it on a nato strap.

It is hand wound and keeps good time. There is an inscription on the reverse which details that it was awarded by British Rail for 35 years service in 1975.

  • Here's my 1962 Rolex.
For the last 5 year I wore this for 75% of the time (I got too many watches).
    Still running like a champ.

  • I can't see your attachment for some reason, but is it by any chance a Smiths?

  • Understated cool.

  • Cool. Still can't see the photo, but I know a little about these and own a couple of these presentation watches. They are usually 9ct gold.

  • here
