Got Witcher 3 on a whim. Struggling to get into it. Doesn't seem much to do at lower levels apart from wander around fighting wolves. Killed some bears yesterday though, that was fun.

There's loads to do, hit up the notice boards and go question mark hunting or do a few main quest objectives to get that rolling along and all the side stuff that goes with it.

Quests. Do the quests. But not the hard ones, yet.

i got to sing "all out of love" by the great Air Supply in Sleeping Dogs, Kareoke stage last night, which makes it the greatest moment in my tv game playing career. It'll never be topped.
-
• #16808
i can't. it already ruined one relationship.

ha - I was never able to sink time into WoW like some other people. But the vanilla stuff does hit a nostalgia nerve.

I've done a few find/fetch quests in the first area and gone to all the ? on the map. The only thing I've not done is killed the werewolf. Still level 4. I horsed up and went to the next bit of the map with the witch-lady, and everything there seems to be way high level for me. I still struggle with 3-4 drowners.

Warewolf? On the first map? I don't remember a warewolf. Is this the map where you kill the griffon with you bud?
-
• #16813
I still struggle with 3-4 drowners.
Get lots of food - chicken is good - and make some of the swallow potion. Assign food and swallow to your quick use buttons.
When fighting be prepared to use the food and potions to bring your health back when it gets low.
Make sure you can use the shield and fire signs to boost your defense and attack.
You can't block monster attacks, only dodge them. Don't roll because it uses stamina, just side step then quick attack or hit them with fire.
If you can get used to the controls, staying on the horse and making repeated charges and moving attacks with your sword will finish off drowners and groups of armed men relatively easily and safely.
The werewolf is a badass, return later when you have leveled up more. I assume you are on the no-mans land Velen map?

Yeah that one. It's in some quest about a bloke whose wife goes missing.
-
• #16815
Ah cool. Didn't realise you couldn't block monster attacks, guess that's why I die so quickly =/. Cheers!

That's a good quest but everyone struggles with Wolf-face. Do some more main questing first? You've me the Baron, right...?
-
• #16817
the baron is quite far into second map.
-
• #16818
Yeah, I killed that warewolf (which was tough as shit at first) when I was in my tens or teens. But I didn't think that was on the first map...

Is Diablo 3 any good (on console)?
It's £16.79 on PSN (with the plus double discount)
Worth a crack? -

you'll either love it or hate it. At that price, i doubt it matters either way.

So is wolf-face!

So how do I get to play the new Zelda, without having to spank hundreds on a new console, that would only ever be used to play Zelda once. Or maybe twice. Three, if you include speedrun attempts.
Nice one, enjoy the next few hours of creeping forward and running away!
The difficulty curve is so steep, yet manageable.
I'm getting my arse kicked by BloodBorne, not even managed to find the 1st boss yet (I know where it is, I just can't get to it without dying first) the inability to level up/ upgrade weapons* is proving difficult.
*I think it's after the boss I can do it.
