  • Hah, yeah. The notification when done made me chuckle, too. Good stuff.

  • Anyone got a Wacom intuos 4 (Ptk 640) they're looking to sell, want to replace my intuos 3, watching some on eBay, but thought I'd ask here as well..
    Thanks

  • Has anyone ever had issues with an iPhone connecting to their cellular network? My 5s has been searching for a network connection since yesterday afternoon. There are no reported outages from my network (Three) locally, I've rebooted the phone, removed the sim and reinstalled it, cleared the network settings yet still it won't connect and just has "Searching..." displayed all the time. I've not been able to leave the house yet to see if it'll connect elsewhere.

In case anyone else encounters this issue, I tried to do a software update from iTunes but repeatedly got an error code 50, which means the baseband isn't working properly, i.e. the phone is now bricked.

  • @cornelius_blackfoot i've got an intuos 4 PTK 640 going spare

  • I'm really losing my shit with Apple at the moment. I've got a different work laptop at the moment. I want to log in to itunes to listen to music. It won't let me log in as I need to type in a verification code which is being sent to my "other devices", that being my laptop at home. I just reset my password after them taking 24 hours to send me the link, having to confirm two different codes via text message, confirming my credit card, phone number, address etc. Just fucking let me log in you cunts.

  • I'm about 2 more failed log in attempts away from cancelling my apple music membership

  • you can roll back that verification bollocks, but you need the verification to do it.
I did this mistakenly on my phone and haven't gotten around to telling it to do one..

  • Goddam. I just managed to turn off two factor authentication. All it took was logging in about 10 more times, with a new text message code each time, a couple of "timed out for your safety" 's despite logging in (again) 3 seconds previous, a Google search for the right bloody website to do it on and another email address to confirm along with another authentication key.

  • Fuckyoujonnyapple

  • Keyboard stop working, certain keys - tab, delete, space bar and down arrow. Read online a few people the same. There isn't really a solution , tried nvram reset, safe mode boot and creating a new user. Nothing works. Anybody selling a cheap Mac keyboard or might have an idea of what to try next?

  • My apple Cinema Display has better colours than my 4K dell and it's 6 years old. Maybe go second hand?

  • haha my friend switched go to Google after a similar experiance with his iPhone.

He lost it, tried to use a friends laptop to find it. Apple kept sending verification codes to his lost iPhone. He gave up.

  • You could borrow another wired keyboard first (doesn't need to be Mac) to check whether that's the problem. And someone's giving away a couple of Mac keyboards a couple of pages back.

  • I'm gonna check out fleabay soon to see what they can throw up

  • roll back that verification bollocks, but you need the verification to do it

  • I'ts the keyboard unfortunately. Tested with my wife's imac keyboard and it works. rip 2011 wireless keyboard. - I have message the person to see if there still available.

  • Oh yeah, 'cos Google have absolutely nailed logging into any of their services if you have even a suggestion of more than one Google account.

  • Don't suppose anyone's got a spare 45w MagSafe 2 Power Adapter / Charger they could give or sell to me? I've got 2hrs left before my MacBook runs out of juice and don't want to have to pay £79 for a new one :(

  • weird I have two google accounts, one work, one personal, never had any problems logging into them. Both have separate 2FA as well.

  • I've got three Google accounts running on my phone, no problems here either...

  • selling my mint cond thunderbolt display... HMU

  • I need to migrate from my old MacPro desktop to a new 5K iMac. I have a couple of 2TB drives I use for video editing etc. What's my best bet - buy a couple of USB 3 drive chassis or combine them to make a mini RAID in a more expensive thunderbolt enclosure?

  • Are the drives presumably internal on your old Mac Pro?

How are they configured at the moment?

Are they reliable drives still? Do you have something else backing them up? If the drives are solid still get a thunderbolt raid for them to sit in and you'll kick yourself for not having done it earlier. Made such a difference to our workflow and storage. Only thing I don't like about it is booting it up every time you want to use it - not sure I trust even our GTech ev studio raid to be left on more than a working day at a time though I know you can get enterprise class drives which are designed for spinning their entire lifespan pretty much.

  • So am halfway through the clean install, and so far so good. El capitan is up and running on the reformatted ssd, and I'm going to spend tonight, reinstalling the apps I actually use, and documents, and seeing what is missing when I try and do stuff..

Not that bad once I took the plunge, but a certain amount of nervousness over things not being there before the big delete button was pushed..
