Just trying to figure out if my one is super oversized tubing any chance you could measure diameters and post it? Seat tube takes a standard 27.2 seat post but down and top tubes look a little chunkier.
Think 953 doesn't come in standard just oversize and super oversized.

I'll check it out. Mine is just oversize

Reynolds 653, frame number 2736 (I think ... guessing early - mid 90s).

Paint touchups by previous owner left a lot to be desired, going to sand back and redo at some point. Saying that ... frame is a bit of a stop gap between now and plans to get a new 853 next year ... so who knows.

Rest of the Rival group arrived this morning, exxcited.

I remember reading or seeing something about Rourke building a few of these for a team, but I can't remember the name.

Saba was an importer of columbus tubes into the UK and of italian frames, so I'm not sure they'd have Rourke build their team frames (assuming we're talking about the same Saba)

The frame construction looks almost identical to my Rourke

Absolutely stunning bikes all! (BuddhaBelly's my personal fave at the mo, although mind changes everytime i look at some of the others). Just been fitted for mine, 853 in titanium grey and cream, very excited. Just trying to decide on components now. Ultegra vs athena and possibly a nice set of handbuilts (or try and build my own🤔).
