Aim for Sidcup instead? I grew up there and thought it was shit but every time I go back it's gotten a little bit nicer. Fewer cabbies too.

Moved to Sidcup last year, the schools are good and the shops are getting better. Plenty of food choices, with a great Burger / Cocktail bar. Sidcup now has a Waitrose, what more could you want ?
