Went to Workshop's coffee masterclass this weekend as work paid for most of it through our social committee. I'm quite new to coffee as i didn't have a caffeine tolerance until quite recently (thanks Emmy for leaving me the travel V60 and coffee when you stayed) so was very informative in teaching me the ways to brew (French press, V60 and Aeropress) and was very detailed about what coffee actually is/processes involved etc plus you got a free bag of coffee beans at the end.
What I didn't like was how snobby it got (telling us we should be brewing with waitrose bottled water). I understand not using hardass london water in your espresso machine but I'm not going out and buying bottled bloody water that's been shipped around the globe to make my cup of coffee from my V60. We didn't get a coffee to drink whilst we sat through 2 hours of the woman talking at us, I think it wasn't until 2.5 hours until we actually got some coffee. Its £45 which I wouldn't pay myself. If you ever go, take snacks as you will be bloody starving at the end.
