Oh hell yeah
-
• #208
Oof that's nice

What did it cost in total then, including the import duty & tax etc? (If you don't mind me asking :-)
-
• #210
Haven't done the exact calculations but it's looking to be about £550 which seems great to me ... the frame is mint! Not a single scratch. And ubyk was gonna cost about £1050.
I have to contact customs as I think they calculated something wrong...

• #211
Yeah, good price that. Sounds like you got a bargain on the shipping (considering the seller's original estimates with bikeflights or whatever they were called).
-
• #212
Yeah I'm super stoked! Though my search for a crank means I've had to put the carbon seatpost I was saving for this up for sale.

Getting there...
Bars: Ritchey WCS Logic II (not sure about these shape-wise, anyone tried them?)

Seatpost: Thomson (trying not to be too matchy matchy)
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR
Wheels: H+Son / Hope (thanks to @broken_777)
Tyres: Veloflex MasterRest of the bits are in my office.

There's no such thing as too matchy matchy. Apart from with colours. You can be too matchy matchy with colours. Brands are okay to have matchy matchy.
Matchy.

I guess it could be worse. Could be Sora.

I lol'd.

This is exemplary.
Get nicer bars, that shape looks awful. Then full 6800 and white tape... it's gunna be gleaming. The only thing I would change is Open Pro CD rims, but that's just me.

• #220
Agreed, never seen an ergo bend that looks right.
-
• #221
I agree have been feeling something is off all day...looking into other bar options...needs to be 38cm, light, short reach and cheap!
73mm reach Ritchey Comp Logic - £29
75mm reach Specialized Womens Expert - £35
70mm reach Zipp Service Course - £50
Unless anyone on here has anything to offload for cheaps?

What bars did you get for your volare?
Once I ride this for awhile I'm gonna splurge for a custom paint job. Just £££ right now.
Full 6800 is in my office. Minus cranks coz Andy (thanks for the tip!) says I need a shorter crank...

Bars are Deda Zero100, which I have on everything and like very much. Can get them for ~50 with a bit of shopping around. Deda RHM2 are petty good too, and dead cheap.
If Andy sez it, its right. The dude knows his apples. He's going to fit my Volare next week, can't wait. What cranks have you currently got?
-
• #224
I've currently got 170mm crank arms.
annoyingly those deda bars aren't made in 38cm (which Andy the don says is preferable).....I'm leaning towards zipp but can't decide if I should be spending that sort of cash on BARS.....
-
• #225
Well, I lied. Zipp SL-70 it is...
Cool. Would like to spend as little as possible on crank swapping.
For this build hoping to keep all the ultegra together. I already have a 170mm 6800. Going to put it up on the classifieds shortly.
