If you run the chain on the inner ring the chain line will be almost perfect. Assuming you are using a 1/8th chain it will be as close as you'll ever need.
That also means you can file off the teeth on the outer ring to keep your trousers from snagging the chain, so great for road use. You will also need a really small sprocket, so the chain line will look cool too.
